A group of Swedish, Finish and American emigrants, settled in Nebraska, United States, decided to emigrate to Cuba due to economical reasons. They founded a village in the island that resembled a country-western town which they named Omaha, but the natives of the place changed it to Omaja, to make it sound more Cuban.
